Traveling to Seoul for Treatment

International Patient Care at Gangnam Skincare Clinic

Complete support for patients traveling from abroad — from your first inquiry, through treatment in Seoul, to follow-up care after you've returned home.

Why Patients Travel Here

Care Built Around Patients Who Are Far From Home

Traveling abroad for treatment adds a layer of logistics that a local patient never has to think about — language, travel dates, recovery time, and what happens if you have a question after you've already flown home. Our international patient program exists specifically to remove that friction.

Every international patient is assigned a dedicated coordinator who manages your consultation, treatment schedule, and travel logistics in one continuous thread — so you're never re-explaining your case to a new person at each step.

Whether you're coming for a single treatment or a multi-visit program, we build the schedule around your actual travel window, not the other way around.

How It Works

Your Treatment Journey, Step by Step

From your first message to us, to follow-up care after you're home — here's exactly what happens at each stage.

1
Before You Travel

Send Your Inquiry

Reach out by WhatsApp, email, or our contact form with what you're interested in and, if helpful, a few photos. Our coordinator responds with next steps, usually within one business day.

2
Before You Travel

Free Remote Consultation

A video or written consultation with a doctor, so you understand your realistic options and estimated cost before booking any flights. Nothing is confirmed until you're ready.

3
Before You Travel

Personalized Treatment Plan & Written Quote

You receive a written treatment plan, an itemized price quote, and a suggested visit itinerary — including how many clinic visits you'll need and how many days to plan for.

4
Before You Travel

Travel & Documentation Support

If needed for your visa application, we prepare a treatment confirmation / invitation letter, and share recommended partner accommodations near the clinic for your recovery period.

5
In Seoul

Airport Pickup, Treatment & Recovery Support

We arrange airport pickup on request, and an interpreter is present at every clinic visit. Your schedule is built with recovery time in mind, not just procedure time.

6
After You're Home

Return Home & Follow-Up Care

You leave with written aftercare instructions in your language, and your coordinator remains your point of contact for follow-up video consultations and any questions once you're back home.

Travel Documentation

Visa & Entry Guidance

Depending on your nationality and how long you plan to stay, most patients enter Korea on a short-term visit visa. We can prepare supporting documents for your application, but requirements are set by Korea Immigration and your home country's Korean embassy or consulate — not by us.

This section is general orientation only. Visa categories, required documents, and eligibility depend on your nationality and can change — always confirm current requirements with your nearest Korean embassy or consulate before booking travel.

C-3-3

Short-Term Medical Tourist Visa

For shorter treatment visits, generally up to 90 days. Commonly used for consultations, injectable treatments, laser sessions, and similar outpatient care.

  • Typically requires a treatment confirmation or invitation letter from the treating clinic
  • Additional documents (proof of funds, itinerary, etc.) vary by nationality
G-1

Longer-Term Medical Stay Visa

Intended for patients whose treatment or recovery is expected to extend beyond a short-term visit, allowing a longer authorized stay.

  • Generally relevant only for multi-month treatment plans, not standard aesthetic visits
  • Your coordinator can advise whether this applies to your specific treatment plan
Visa-Free

Short Visa-Free / K-ETA Entry

Depending on your nationality, you may be able to enter under an existing visa-waiver or K-ETA arrangement for shorter, lower-complexity visits.

  • Eligibility is entirely nationality-dependent — check official Korean government sources

Common Questions

International Patients FAQ

Do I need to speak Korean to be treated here?

No. An interpreter is present at every consultation and treatment session for international patients, and your coordinator communicates with you in your preferred language throughout.

How far in advance should I book my trip?

We recommend starting your remote consultation at least 3–4 weeks before your intended travel dates, especially if your treatment plan requires multiple visits or visa documentation — this gives enough time to plan your itinerary properly.

Is the remote consultation really free?

Yes — the initial video or written consultation to review your case and provide a treatment plan and quote is free and comes with no obligation to book travel or treatment.

Can you help with my visa application?

We can provide a treatment confirmation or invitation letter to support your application, but the visa itself is issued by Korea Immigration through your nearest Korean embassy or consulate — we recommend confirming their current requirements early in your planning.

What payment methods do you accept?

International credit and debit cards, bank wire transfer, select digital wallets (UnionPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay), and Korean Won cash. Your coordinator can confirm which options work best for your home country.

What if I have questions after I've already returned home?

Your coordinator remains your point of contact after you leave Seoul. We schedule follow-up video consultations and are reachable by WhatsApp or email for aftercare questions.
