Frequently Asked Questions
General questions about booking, treatments, payment, and aftercare at Gangnam Skincare Clinic. Looking for questions about a specific treatment? Check that treatment's own page for details.
General & Booking
How do I book a consultation?
Message us on WhatsApp, call the clinic, or fill out the contact form on our Contact page. We'll confirm a time and, for international patients, can set up a free video consultation first.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We recommend booking ahead so a doctor with the right specialty is available for your concern, but we do our best to accommodate walk-ins when the schedule allows. Calling ahead is the safest way to avoid a wait.
What should I bring to my first visit?
A photo ID, any relevant medical history (allergies, current medications, past aesthetic treatments), and if applicable, a list of products you're currently using on your skin. International patients should also bring their passport.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Yes — message your coordinator or the front desk as early as possible. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice where possible so the appointment slot can be offered to another patient.
Treatments & Safety
Are your treatments performed by licensed doctors?
Yes. Every treatment plan is doctor-led, and injectable, laser, and device-based treatments are performed or directly supervised by a licensed physician — see our Doctors & Team page for credentials.
What if I'm not sure which treatment is right for me?
That's exactly what the consultation is for. Describe your concern when you book, and a doctor will assess your skin in person (or by video, if you're abroad) before recommending a plan — no treatment is chosen for you in advance.
Are there risks or side effects I should know about?
Every treatment carries some risk, which your doctor will walk through in detail during your consultation — including expected downtime and possible side effects for your specific case. We don't proceed with any treatment until you've had this conversation and given informed consent.
Can I combine multiple treatments in one visit?
Sometimes — it depends on which treatments and how your skin responds. Your doctor will tell you during consultation whether combining treatments in one visit is appropriate, or whether they should be spaced out for safety and better results.
Payment & Pricing
What payment methods do you accept?
International credit and debit cards, bank wire transfer, select digital wallets, and Korean Won cash. See our International Patients page for the full list.
Do prices include the consultation fee?
Remote video consultations for international patients are free. In-clinic consultations may carry a small assessment fee, typically credited toward treatment if you proceed. See our Pricing & Packages page for details.
Do you offer payment plans?
Options vary by treatment and program size — ask your coordinator during your consultation whether installment or phased-payment options apply to your specific plan.
Will I know the exact price before treatment starts?
Yes — you'll receive a written, itemized quote after your assessment, and you approve it before any procedure begins. You will never be charged more than the quote you agreed to.
Aftercare & Follow-Up
What aftercare instructions will I receive?
Written aftercare instructions specific to your treatment, covering what to expect, how to care for your skin during recovery, and warning signs to watch for. International patients receive these in their preferred language.
Who do I contact if I have concerns after treatment?
Message us on WhatsApp or call the clinic directly — your treating doctor or coordinator will follow up. This applies whether you're still in Seoul or have already returned home.
Do you offer follow-up visits included in the price?
Many treatment plans include a review visit — your doctor will confirm what's included in your specific quote before treatment begins.
What if I experience an unexpected reaction after treatment?
Contact us immediately by phone or WhatsApp. For anything urgent or serious, seek local emergency medical care first, then let us know so we can coordinate with you on next steps.
International Patients
Do I need to speak Korean to be treated here?
No — an interpreter is present at every consultation and treatment session for international patients. See our full International Patients page.
Can you help with visa documentation?
We can prepare a treatment confirmation or invitation letter to support your application, though the visa itself is issued by Korea Immigration through your nearest embassy or consulate. Full guidance is on our International Patients page.
Is airport pickup available?
Yes, on request, from Incheon or Gimpo airport. Ask your coordinator to arrange this once your travel dates are confirmed.
How do I get a personalized quote before traveling?
Start with a free remote video or written consultation — you'll receive a written treatment plan and quote before booking any flights. See general starting-from pricing on our Pricing & Packages page in the meantime.
